FEEDBACK: HIPE PRO 4’8

Transition on a more technical board with the HIPE Pro 4’8 of 80 liters for Jérôme who shares his feelings after a first session.

“First the context, I’m 78kg. I learnt on a HIPE 5’3 then I switched to a 4’11. While waiting for the availability of the HIPE Pro 4’8, I was on a HIPE Pro 5’1. Very nice but almost “too comfortable” with the 25l more than the 4’11.
With the 4’8, given the size, obviously it’s much less comfy… especially since it’s been quite a while since we had swell and waves!
“And once in the air… only happiness!”
Rodeo feeling until I could find the right position and focus on staying low. But in the end, after a few splashes before even being on my knees, as soon as there is a little traction in the Wing, getting on my feet is quite easy. I find the same feeling as with the 4’11: easier to pump because it’s shorter, I’m better able to use the board’s cork effect. So what I lose in glide I regain in pumping ability.
And once in the air… only happiness! ? it’s easy, it turns, it’s stable and the touchdowns are no more consequential than with the 5’1. That being said, it’s clearly more physical than with the 5’1, especially if like me the switch of feet is not completely mastered. ?
In short, a great board!!!”
