Thierry's feedback after testing the Strutless Revo as part of our Ambassador Kite Tour.

First time with a strutless kite
"Hello, here’s my feedback on the Strutless Revo 10. A few video clips, mainly showcasing the relaunch and in-flight stability.
Rider: 1.72 m, 75 kg
- I've been kiting for 20 years, with a preference for big air in TT. I kitefoil under 15 knots.
- Tested on a flat spot, 10 to 12 knots
- Gear: Catch kite 4’2 Fluid MT, 85 V2 aluminum mast, Fast stab.
I’ve had 4 to 5 sessions with this kite. Until now, I’ve always used a three-strut kite for foiling. This ambassador tour was a chance to test a strutless kite."
A kite truly suited for foiling
"I tested it each time in winds between 10 and 15 knots. It’s a kite truly designed for foiling. It stays in the air by itself for several seconds without touching the bar. I find it very hard to over-sheet or make it move back in the wind window. Relaunching is simple and smooth—just gently pull on a rear line. It's much easier in light winds compared to an inflatable kite with struts."
Lightness in the bar and responsiveness
"Once on the board, the kite feels very smooth. During the first session, I used the factory settings, with the middle knot on the tips. Now, I’ve switched to the last knot on the tips for faster turning, and I’ve lengthened the front lines for more tension in the back lines. Around 10 knots of wind, I find this setting much more effective.
While riding, you really feel the kite's lightness in the bar. It pulls, but without sudden movements when you sheet in. This makes it much more stable at the end of a turn or jibe, unlike my three-strut kite, which I have to relaunch. No more worrying about it falling into the water. The downside of these qualities is in jumping. I feel like I lose height and power compared to my three-strut kite in the same wind range.
In summary, I’m very happy to have tested this type of design. It makes me want to complement my quiver of 5-strut kites, which I use from 15 knots in TT, with this Strutless Revo. Probably with a 9m size for my build, to replace my three-strut kite for light wind foiling."
