GEAR: FCS II SINGLE FIN ON US-BOX

The FCS II single fins are compatible with the US-boxes that equip our surfboards and SUPs that have a single fin or 2 + 1 fin set-up. This isn’t just random information for those who want true fin setting opportunities.

Not having to use a tool thanks to the FCS II system gives you this opportunity because whenever the need comes to change the setting of your center fin, you are usually on the water, so without any tools on hand. The FCS II fin can be set by hand, so you can simply fine-tune your settings on the beach in between two waves.

On our SUPs a mark indicates the optimal setting next to the box. This is the setting that offers the best handling. For more control, simply move the center fin backwards. Experiment 2 cm by 2 cm to find the setting that suits you. Conversely, a center fin set forward in the box will allow a shorter turn radius but at the expense of control. A setting that can be interesting to have more freedom in the curves. It’s up to you to try.

The settings are infinite if we also change the size and type of fin. For example, a surfer who wants more speed, to make super clean and powerful curves, will take a size above the recommended size. Be careful because more surface on a large board can give a rather amorphous result. Don’t go too big if you want to keep mobility.
