NEWS: JULIEN TAKES SECOND AT THE WINGFOIL RACING WORLD CUP IN CAGLIARI

Our team rider Julien Rattotti showed impressive form in Italy where the best wing foilers met for the 4th Word Cup Series of the season in Wing Foil Racing.

Julien kicked off the event impressively by winning four consecutive races, two of which were long-distance races involving all the participating athletes. This showcased Julien’s exceptional skills and the capabilities of his new GONG equipment, namely his new Pulse DP giving him the speed to keep the pack of top level racers in his rear mirrors.

Julien iron’s spirit

After four intense days of racing at the Wingfoil Racing World Cup in Cagliari, GONG team rider Julien Rattotti achieved a second-place finish, securing another podium position for the brand. On the third day of the Racing World Cup event, Rattotti’s overall score placed him in second position, guaranteeing him a spot in the medal race for the final day (day 4) on Sunday. In the new world tour format, Rattotti would need to win two races against the top-ranked qualified athlete in the 4-man Grand Final to claim victory in the event.

In the first race, Rattotti finished in second place, ensuring his spot on the podium and a second-place finish overall in the event.

Top notch gear with the Pulse DP

We are extremely proud of Julien’s performance and how he showcased the impressive racing capabilities of the new Pulse DP for the first time at an event. Julien expressed his joy by saying, “I’m super happy, I finished 2nd!”. He added, “The level is super high and it’s all about details. The start of the event was amazing. A small error in the fifth race made me lose my momentum. There is still a lot of work to do, but it’s amazing to be here already.”

This event marked Julien’s best racing performance on the tour to date, and with the speed and skill he demonstrated over the past four days, we are eagerly anticipating what the young athlete has in store for us in the near future.
