TECH HIGHLIGHT: THE ADVANTAGES OF A DOUBLE PROFILE KITE!

A new design element that enhances the essential qualities of your kite!
Imagine a kite that glides better, moves faster, is more dynamic, has improved upwind capability, and a broader wind range. This is precisely what our Team Series kites with Aramid construction and a double profile have achieved!

How?

The Benefits?
- Speed
Speed is the foundation of a kite's performance, and all the essential qualities of your kite are enhanced as a result. This is noticeable from the very first reach. The acceleration is phenomenal. Whether in loops with the Ayto or in turns with the Elips, you’ll be amazed by the responsiveness provided by this superior glide. In a loop, the first quarter turn of the kite will be similar to that of an Ayto or Elips Perf Series, but everything speeds up in the Team Series version. This increase in speed translates to greater responsiveness and power thanks to the generated apparent wind.
All the kite's movements within its wind window are enhanced. Simply activate the kite in the power zone to feel the impressive effects of its double profile.

- Stability
The double profile makes it easier for the kite to "float" in the air, acting as a real wind damper, so ultra-gusty conditions are no longer an issue! You can see this in the photo below by observing the leading edge of the Elips Aramid DP. Instead of a single profile that completely flutters in the wind when you depower the bar, the kite’s lower surface maintains airflow when the upper surface flutters (and vice versa). As a result, the impact of imprecise bar movements and wind irregularities is absorbed.
This represents a significant improvement in sailing comfort and the kite’s responsiveness.

- Upwind Performance and Wind Range
This is a crucial quality when performing huge jumps with the Ayto or surfing a wave for hundreds of meters with the Elips. Upwind performance also receives a significant boost thanks to the double profile. The Team Series kites move faster and fly further upwind in the wind window. Additionally, they handle lulls more easily due to a more stable profile. This upwind capability extends the wind range of your kite, both in light winds due to its speed and in strong winds due to its stable profile in gusts. The comfort of navigation is simply fantastic.
With the Elips Aramid DP, you no longer hesitate to choose a smaller size for maximum responsiveness in wave riding. Similarly, with the Ayto, you can confidently opt for a smaller size for better performance in loops, or oversize for big air.

Validation of a Concept
The Double Profile innovation is a revolution for the flight quality of a kite. By combining stability and speed, this process ensures undisturbed airflow.
A concept first mentioned in kite literature in 1984, tested multiple times, and developed publicly by GONG since 2015, that offers our DP kites nearly 30% more efficiency: they fly faster, jump higher, stay airborne longer, accelerate in lighter winds, and are more stable at the zenith. They are better in all aspects of flight and handling, even if you are not a kite expert.
Applying this concept to our kites with Aramid technology became an obvious step after testing our new range. We wish you as much pleasure as we had with these incredible kites!
